Wahyu Ichwandardi aka Pinot, is a graphic designer and father of Neverland family. He loves to sketch and bring his drawings to life through animation. He believes in dreams, graphic design, tech and art.
Michael Davies, a visual artist from Ontario/Canada, is an unmatched professional in glassblowing, sculptures, ink illustrations, stone carving and photography. Currently, Davies lives in the Arctic Circle and documents his unique experiences through his exquisite photography. Davies tries “to capture the soul and personality of all [his] creations ignoring current artistic trends and by casting aside any impressionistic or expressionistic connections.”
Matt Crump is an art director/illustrator from Texas who is famous for his style called candy minimal. His images, edited in candy colors, are minimalist representations of everyday objects, people or places.
Night Crawlers, a group of very talented night photographers, have come together to help people figure out how to use a GoPro after dark. They create unique, vortex-like photographs using long exposure light photography hoping to inspire people to try the same with their GoPro’s. They “hope [that, this project] will be a [stepping stone into a] larger GoPro night photo culture”. Here at Retrodition we are big fans of long exposure photography and these guys have managed to take it to the next level.
Howard Lee creates Hyperrealist and stop-motion animations from his drawings. He experiments with a multitude of drawing techniques in order to capture the most life like images. It is almost impossible to differentiate between what is real and what is a drawing.
Nicolas Jaar – Mi Mujer
Alex Nero is an artist from New York City that experiments with innovative techniques and captures impeccable images. He examines the chemistry of different types of paint dissolving in water. Nero’s thought provoking photographs are uniquely interpreted masterpieces that resemble one’s subconscious. Today, his eye dropping work has reached the masses.
Andreas von Chrzanowski better known as CASE, is a graffiti artist from Frankfurt. He is famous for his life-like artwork, all around Europe and the USA, which are representations of human bodies. Case is one of the members of the 4 person graffiti artist crew “Maclaim”, founded in 2000. Maclaim is seen as one of the pioneers in realistic representations within the graffiti community.
Alan Lawrence, an art director and a dad-of-six living in Utah, has recreated the famous Xmas tradition: the Elf on the Shelf by turning his own baby boy into the cutest elf ever. He came up with a story about the little elf and started photographing his playful and a little naughty acts on his blog called “That Dad Blog”. Lawrence says “all of [their] friends do the Elf on the Shelf and [he] always thought it was sort of creepy, but also sort of fun.” Then he had the idea of “what if it was a real elf? And of course, being parents, [he] already has the cutest little 4-month-old. So [he] decided to make a fun series.”
