STARR Restaurants and Chef Justin Smillie bring to you an exotic California inspired cuisine, Upland. After many years of success at NYC’s Il Buco Alimentari, Smillie finally collaborated with mega-restaurateur Stephen Starr (the visionary of Buddakan, Morimoto and El Vez) in opening his dream restaurant.
The restaurant which is located on Park Avenue South, is named after the town Smillie was born. The carefully prepared extensive menu consists of many local Californian ingredients with a sophisticated twist. It includes the highly recommended dishes such as: Stracciatella and pear pizza, Estrella pasta with sautéed chicken livers, seared octopus with smoked eggplant caviar, and (a must try) short rib for two. For those who would like to indulge themselves, there is a wide range of cocktails and 500+ bottle wine list.
Ghost (Lane 8 Rework) – Lane 8 feat. Patrick Baker
We have been head over heels for the San Francisco based DJ/producer Daniel Goldstein, a.k.a Lane 8. The 26-year-old producer has not only been referred to as a “Future Star” by Pete Tong but also heavily supported by some of the most talented names in the industry: The Magician, Above and Beyond, ODESZA, Eric Prydz and many more. He has an exceptional ability to create tunes that will immediately get you on your feet no matter when or where. No wonder the young DJ has been named one of the “top 25 trail-blazing producers” by inthemix.com.
His previously released tracks “Diamonds”, “Be Mine”, “The One / Nothing You Can Say” and “Every Night” have repeatedly topped the charts and we expect his new album “Rise” (debuting July 17) will be no different.
We are ecstatic about his new album release because he already has us hooked on his latest track “Ghost”
Be sure to stay tuned for more of Lane 8 to come!

The Belgian techno queen Raving George and electro pop band Oscar & The Wolf have come together to produce a tune that will mesmerize anyone and everyone who listens to it.

Nobumichi Asai first unveiled his project Omote in 2014 and it instantly became a sensation. Omote displays a combination of real-time face tracking and projection mapping techniques to transform a model’s face using light as applied make up. The model’s face is used as a blank canvas and is altered through the projection of abstract visuals.
The preparation is long and intricate but Nobumichi Asai and his team of extraordinarily talented digital designers, CGI experts and make-up artists do an outstanding job.
