Your 70s Inspired Hangout Spot: Happy Ending

Once a massage parlor, hence the name, Happy Ending is one of the hottest spots in NYC. When owners Oliver Stumm and Max Levai acquired the joint, they kept the name but gave it a retro-redo. They transformed the destination to a French bistro (with Michelin-starred chef Francis Gabarrus in charge) decorated like a cool basement hangout from the 70s.

The hip venue serves classic French dishes with a modern twist. The hand-cut steak tartare, scallops, burrata crostini and crispy octopus are the perfect starters to share. As for the main course, the marinated skirt steak is perfectly cooked and a mouthwatering delight.

The food is great, but it is Happy Ending’s basement club that has people waiting in line at the door. With the checkered dance floor, flashy disco ball and funky music that completes the ambience; you are surely gonna have a great time.
